To be an Advocate of Holiness does not mean becoming perfect and faultless. Perfection is beyond the grasp of human hands; so with imperfection comes also faults. But it is about desiring to live a holy life through the grace of God and the guidance of the Holy Spirit, avoiding sins and occasions to sin, as much as can. And in times of fall, holiness is about recognizing the unfathomable of the love of God who loves us first.
To be an Advocate of Holiness also means finding ways to help our brothers and sisters in Christ to be encouraged to live a holy life. Since the Lord Jesus Christ is no longer around in person today, he left us, through the help of the Holy Spirit, to be his hands in this fallen world. Each time we extend our hands to those who need our help the most in their spiritual battles toward holiness, Christ was able to extend His hands through us.
As Advocates, our main thrusts are these:
1. Help build an adoration chapel of the Blessed Sacrament in parishes who need it but cannot afford it because of the poverty in the parish;
2. Raise money to support young people who wants to become a priest or a religious.
3. Sponsor focused seminars that promotes a holy lifestyle and submission to the will of God.
As an Advocate of Holiness, you can choose which of these three main thrusts you can volunteer yourself to do. And we need all the helping hands we can get.
May you respond to this call. And God bless.
